Found and rescued Petter Engine Diesel Dumper 1

While exploring a farm yard and discovering some abandoned vintage machines, I stumbled across the dumper. I gave it its first start in several years, took posession and restored it. Its an old 1960s Single Cylinder Petter Engine Diesel

Thanks for the video, we have some land and Dad left a little dumper similar to this but not quite the same there for 15 years. The engine was knackered, as was the clutch, and the steering still is, and the back tyres, and the brakes. But I got the clutch fixed and the engine and it's alive again, just need to get cracking on the rest of it! Thanks again for the inspiration

@ICGillay Hey that's a great story. Glad I was able to give you some inspiration. You had to replace the engine in the end?

@VGOIII Thankfully not, but I did have to replace the injector, the injector pump, the tank, the piston and the cylinder. They're great old lumps, I have 3 Petter engines of various sorts and they all run like clockwork when they're in good order

@ICGillay Nothing else thumps quite like a Petter. I'm over in Mumbai at the moment, and there are lots of these 3 wheeled Ricture type vehicles which carry small half tonne loads.They are also Petter Powered, I think with the two cylinder versions though. They are road going vehicles and can probably make about 35 mph.

becarefull of these sometimes thay kick back at you due to the compression buld up when cranking it
