I just saw this film today on Chanbel 4! Loved it. June Allyson is a new discovery for me and I think she's adorable. I also had no idea Joan Collins was this stunning in her day! For me she's up there with Elizabeth Taylor and Dorothy Dandridge.

Sorry, but I believe this attempt (and Diane English's ghastly try in '08), prove only that Norma Shearers, Joan Crawfords, and Rosalind Russells don't grow on trees, and that lightning doesn't strike the same place twice.

I love this version after all it has June Allyson my favourite actress. Dare i say it i saw the original 1930's version and thought it a tad tedious.
