First day after we got the T2i and it wasn't raining, so I ran outside real quick to get some test footage. I have to say, this is the highest quality footage I have personally shot... with the exception of that one time I used a Canon 5D :). Brought it all into Adobe Premiere CS3 for editing, titles and CC (as well as adding music). The on-board audio seriously isn't too bad. However, when you adjust the focus, you can hear it using the on-board mic... so, if you don't plan on adjusting the focus while filiming (which is very unlikely), you could use it. Very happy with this purchase. the T2i replaced our secondary camera, which cost $600 more, and was far lower quality.
