Ending Beginning

Bleeding, pleading for the escape of my soul
Buried, suffocating a voice unheard in this black hole
I poured out my deepest secrets but you refused to listen
In turn my eyes moisten, in the corners tears glisten
A rose I was, once glorious now forever mangled and torn
Promises now just memories I wished I housed, ever so worn
Helplessly watching the seasons turn year after year
Waiting for your return, eternally, I fear
I can no longer spread my wings as Ive bowed from grace
Haunted by a darkness Im unable to face
Deserted I try and try to lift myself up, to take flight
Discovering I no longer have the strength left against this evil plight
Cast on me I beg of you a spell to regain my will
Gift to me the future of which shoes I wish to fill
Searching the horizon I wonder if the sun shall ever again rise
Can I find the truth beyond my demons disguise
Frozen am I now, so lifeless and pale barely able to breathe
How am I to find my treasure with so many plots to deceive
Damned by the curse of the Capulets I begin to realize
Destined to the same fate, plunged into my heart a knife of lies
Alone here until my time is done I shall wait
As padlocked in I am behind this shadowed towering gate
The clock chimes again, another agonizing hour passes by
Was it so much to ask to be able to fly?
