when you open the Desire of Ages, and read the first chapter, you see the truth in such a whole new light, it's mind-changing, it gives you the deepest joy, and it's Biblical, it places the truth in such a simple and easy, clear, plain way to understand that God is indeed love!!!
please never judge Ellen White by the criticism you find on the web. Grab a book yourself and read it, make your own choice.

There was a time in my life that people hit me over the head with things from Ellen G. White, and I hated it. They were not right to do what they did, but what they missed was the principle of the matter. They focused on works instead of the need for a changed heart. As I've grown in my walk with God I've started reading the inspired writings of Ellen G. White. I've been so blessed because she focuses on Christ, and the change we need in our heart. PTL that I opened her writings for myself!

@queenjahh I bet you have never read any of her books, She's the most sublime christian writer of our time, with only a third grade education. Hebrew rabbi's say the person who wrote this had to have an initmate knowledge of the Hebrew launguage. I read her books for health reasons and found that she had an insight into medical science that doctors of today are affirming her books on healthy lifestyle, The best effect it had on me is that it made me fall in love with Jesus even deeper.

@PanDeVidaProductions The prophecies of Joel were fulfilled at Pentecost (Acts 2), and besides that, the prophecies of Joel speak not of ONE PERSON having the gifts of prophecy, but MANY!
BTW, I am a SDA just in case you have questions.

I LOVE bible study, I LOVE the SCRIPTURES. And I love Sister White's Writings as well. The Conflict of the Ages series [Patriarchs and Prophets; Prophets and Kings; Desire of Ages; Acts of the Apostles; The Great Controversy] is a masterpiece. Beautiful writing, beautiful readings.

Ellen White said herself that if everyone read their Bibles, that there would be no need for her writings. The great thing about her books, however, is that they break down parts of the Bible and give us better insight. Patriarchs and Prophets is such an example. If any of her writings, in your opinion conflict with a biblical teaching, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and continue studying.

THIS IS AN AWESOME VIDEO!!!! :)
Ellen White seems to be only for those who don't know their bibles and are weak in faith need additional proof that the Word of God is REAL. Those who study scripture honestly don't need any additional words from Ellen White for them Sola scripture is enough.

@queenjahh In the Bible (sola scriptura) the prophet Joel prophesied that, in the last days, the gift of prophecy would be poured out. Perhaps you should ask why your Bible tells you to expect prophets in the last days.

@PanDeVidaProductions I do own Ellen Whites books, Desire of ages, Great controversy Steps to Christ etc as i was brought up in the Adventist faith ok. But for me in over twenty years now i just prefer to stick to scripture first if that is a problem for you then so be it, but there is enough for me to understand in Gods Words without having to collaborate with the mass volumns of her work to get through. If you need Mrs White so be it but If ive got a question i rather seek Gods word first.

@queenjahh You make me smile. I need Jesus, and if His Word tells me to expect help along the way, I will not reject it. You seem to accuse me of needing EGW when I have never claimed to need her. The Word of God is the epitome and source of inspiration, and if the Word of God tells us to expect prophets, then to reject the prophets the Word has said to expect is truly to reject the Word of God itself.
