@SantaFe19484 Canada had 3 aircraft carriers during and after the WW2. the last was HMCS Bonaventure. Decommissioned in 1970.

Disregarding the jackasses posting here... there are some of us Americans who actually don't have our heads up our asses, and recognize what Canada has done.
You've fought at our side in almost every major war in the past century, and while we were still twiddling our thumbs, being isolationist during WW2, you Canucks were already over in Europe, fighting in the Battle of Britain. You might not be a military powerhouse, but you never back down from a fight.
Respect to Canada, from the USA.

Canda had the 3rd largest Navy in WW-2 little known fact as all the war movies were about the American British,German,and Japenese Navies.., Canada was responsible for the north Atlantic convoy protection..

Um since when did Canada have aircraft carriers? Last time I checked my country's navy was mainly composed of frigates and subs and smaller vessels not aircraft carriers....unless I'm wrong which I'm sure we don't have any....

Why is everyone fighting,at the end of the day it doesn`t matter what country you are if you attempt to invade Canada you will be fucked over, and hard at that.

I get so tired of political banter. I'm American, and retired military. The Canadian Army would have done well in Iraq, as they have in every war. The Canadian people did not wish for that. Democracy in action, Odd how we Yanks forget the "Will of the people" Aircraft carriers are a nice thing, but a single active frigate has more impact than 100 unused carriers. Think a bit before you flame those folks up north.

@ElderLyonsHighEldar Plus, in the event that Canada NEEDED a carrier (for whatever reason), the USA has 11 and we have formed joint battle groups before. Britain is building two super carriers, and we're also peeps with them... I see no reason, and neither do our leaders, to invest billions in a carrier we will never need :P. Just because I'm curious, which service did you serve in?
