Louis Theroux concludes his exploration into Miami Mega-jail, one of America's largest and most violent of jails, a holding pen for almost 6000 un-convicted inmates.Louis goes deeper into the jail system, meeting an alleged triple murderer facing a possible death sentence.

He also follows a group of forty or so younger inmates who have escaped prison by pleading guilty and agreeing to attend a four month military style boot camp. Among them is a 14-year-old boy facing a possible ten year sentence for armed robbery if he can't survive the boot camp's relentless and brutal training and indoctrination programme. Many will drop out and receive prison sentences, but for a handful this will be their second chance at life.

  • @scaussie78

it has nothing to do with him living a sheltered life

its a way of interviewing people, its a strategy, a tactic

he is one of the best journalists in the world

  • Killing three people is obviously a reprehensible and deplorable action, but I felt a sense of sympathy for Robert Shaw when Louis was interviewing him. If he's guilty, he no doubt deserves punishment, but he appears so cognisant and intent on bettering himself that it saddens me on a human level to think how better he could have turned out if he had been born and raised in a different environment. It's a shame that there's no way to regulate who has children.

  • @SuperShafster actually.. that makes 110% sense

  • dude isnt really so fucked up as you maybe think for a triple murderer

  • Jesus, that bit with Robert Shaw was so beautiful. I'd read his novels.

  • I thought it was nice that he was learning new words. He doesn't give up on life even though his future is grim. That's really impressive, that shows some real character. I don't really think he did what they say he did. Not only is he trying to get educated he doesn't confirm to that stupid politics. So I think he's innocent.

  • At the very beginning, it's funny how the guy is almost shocked when Louis said he doesn't assault people who disrespect him. It's like it was just a simple fact of life. He didn't know that most people in life don't respond that way to others.

  • @Honigdrohne0221 It is quite funny how many of them don't even know many common words a lot of the population knows. A lot of their mind set is just ignorance and lack of any other examples to live by.

  • I love how Louis says "get money and stop hating"

  • @Honigdrohne0221 No, it's not, Sausage Muncher.

  • 8:54 Haha it´s called "Bratwurst" = roasted sausage. Popular snack not only in Germany! =D

  • @greylego He said "I ain't gonna sit in that cell and let a motherfucker break my motherfuckin jaw, knock my teeth out, fuck me hard up. Just because I say "Oh, I'm gangsta". Thats what he said :)
