This mess started with the banking deregulation by Ronald Regan allowing banks to invest in more riskier types of security.

The majority voted no because the people that elect them do not agree with this ridiculous plan. A $700 billion bailout does NOT help the American people, it will harm us and, more than likely, continue the economy's further decline when the value of the dollar sinks because of it.
Anyone who's actually done research knows that this mess started at the end of the Clinton administration. Granted, Bush did nothing to help the situation.

I personally against this bill but let me translate what Boehner said. He took it personally what Pelosi said in her speech so he voted against the bill eventhought he thinks the bill is necessary for America. So he sticking it to the American people because he (Replublican) got offended by Pelosi's speech?
