Vortec Chevy Problem and Fix!

How to replace the Nut Kit and CPI Spider Injector on your 4.3 Vortec V-6 or 5.7 350 V-8.

I did this repair on my 94 Safari back in 02. It ran great for about 5 years after. I didn't feel like doing this job again so I drove it running rich for the last 7 years (didn't drive it much) The exhaust was eye-watering, the oil was always black like a disel...I quit changeing oil and drove it until it broke a rocker snapped the cam and siezed. I just bought a near mint 2000. Has this problem been fixed on the 2000 4.3 or do I expect to do this job again? 117 km's runs like new at the moment

I hate them damn spider injectors. Why they made that design I don't know but I do love the TBI though.

I'm doing the same thing to this 95 blazer 4.3. But on the fuel line side it's just covered in this black crud messy stuff. Regulator side is perfect. Any ideas??

its a similar setup but its a bit different. all the connectors come from the top directly into the fuel body instead of through the back of the plenum and you can get a replacement with electronic poppets (gives me 17mpg on a good or bad day). the electronic poppet version doesn't cost that much more than its predecessor. just do a search for "mpfi 4.3 spider".

just put a marine intake on. it has external injectors on it.

have you had a problem with a single injector that doesnt work until the engine is fully warmed up ? just had my 96 tahoe intake man. gasket replaced by a local shop. spider injectors were replaced in 2008 with an a/c delco #217-3029 upgrade. has new rotor and dist caps,plug wires & plugs.compression 195 lbs and good spark.

Hey nice spider injector video. I have the same issue. my question is what was it doing before? Mine smells like fuel alot but it trys to start but it wont until I give it gas. then it idles rough even though I have replaced the spark plugs. the fuel pump and filter are ok. whats you guess on this?

Just wondering if you have any more videos ...perhaps on working on this same models gas tank ???? I have the same truck ,motor and having a real bad gas leak coming down the frame only when its running ...when I shut it down it drips fer a bit and then stops ....You can e-mail me back with a reply @ rbrtkyte@aol.com
