I miss you so Karen! your music has always shaped my life.... love you so much!

Karen was not only a phenomenal singer, she also clearly had a knack for performance. I love to watch how the music crawls out of her body, in a physical sense... it's like the music is bubbling up inside her, and she's trying to keep a cork on it. In another life, she probably would have been a great dancer. It's like the music inside her is going in so many directions, yet she's trying to contain it. LOVE HER.

...I wish that Karen had realized how visually gorgeous she was. Tv can be unflattering to some and yet karen looks beautiful.

Well, if it is any solace, the food was probably plastic props for the most part. Real food does not hold up well for repeated shootings under very hot Klieg lights they use for studio productions. It is bitter sweet to watch these videos of the Carpenters. Thanks for posting them.

Karen having to do a skit revolving around food.....talking about appearance.... singing "we better diagnose them right for the local shrink". Oh my God- the hell that would have been going on inside her head at that time, its very confronting and terribly sad. RIP Karen.
