  • Hey all, currently I have run out of ideas for videos and have lost my muse in general. So I turn to you all now. If there is a particular horse or era of racing you'd like a video of then please comment and tell me. Also if there is a particular song as well, and I will try my best to get the song, video, etc. Thanks!

  • i love this video! :)

  • @latinostallion94 Thanks!

  • Without taking away from SS accomplishments (grrrr!:-)), I will say this: Steven Crist made the argument then and now that SS was great *because* he beat Easy Goer. And its hard to argue with his logic: "SS beat EG 3 out of 4 times, but never in a way that proved that he was just plain better. In EG's best race he walloped SS by 8 lengths...2 of his 3 defeats had legit excuses..in the Classic...EG...just missed but left no one thinking it could not have gone the other way."

  • I agree, so many of the racing experts from both coasts(Christine,Nack,Crist,Pope,Hirsch) stated it and even trainers Wayne Lukas and Woody Stephens also said it, but said the best and most correct way by Paul Moran of espn,"Easy Goer was the better, more outstanding, extraordinary, phenomenal horse but was defeated by a whisker &desperate neck in two races b/c Pat Day rode him like the exposed end of a live electrical wire, rode him horribly." So correct IMO.

  • @DELMARCLUB1 And not just what Crist , Hovdey, Nack and Hirsch' stated with their expert judgments based on their extensive knowledge, but like the Bloodhorse Top 100 book states correctly, "Easy Goer will always be mentioned in the same breath with the GREATEST of ALL TIME."& that is in spite of the nostril and desperate neck losses vs.another great in S.S. due to Pat Day's awful start and stop, start and stop, start and stop riding, (Paulick-grueling,historic campaign,12f prelude, colic, lameness.

  • Making up new words. When experts who have a high degree of knowledge from experience on racing, such as Bill Nack,Hovdey,Crist,Pat Day, Lukas,Whittingham,Jerkens, J. Hirsch, etcetera, review, study, examine the careers of Easy Goer,Secretariat,Citation,Damascus, etcetra, it is a heck of a lot more than "fans criticizing predictions". The same goes for R.Paulick and his examinations and reviews. No doubt some thoughts are "opinions", some are "facts" or "direct quotes" or "analogies, comparisons".
