Hello, I am looking into getting a short wave but don't where to start. This will include where to shop, how to use it or what it would cost.
I am looking for one that can run "off the grid" without me hand cranking for hours and have it run for only a few minutes. Also, I am looking for a portable one (for me bug out bag). This could (and probably should be) a second one.
What advice would you give to someone like me just starting out but does know what to do. Thank you,

Paranoid? Then how come you have 911 system? An emergency room system? A Trauma center? Fire Stations? Paranoia is a mental state of constantly keeping tabs of one's surroundings & preparing for the worse and unexpected. During WW II people are saying it won't happen again because they have learned the lessons of WW I. But WW II did happened! Being a prepper is being an independent personnal 911 system yourself for you cannot be sure how well prepared government agencies are these days!
this guy isn't really smart run to the hills if there's a earth quake an a title wave is coming there's no way in hell your going to out run a title wave
