Using a proper upper body workout is essential to a good strength and conditioning program. Jack Cascio goes through a few exercises that will help you increase your upper body explosiveness in a short period of time. If you are doing any type of speed training program be sure you are doing upper body plyometrics to increase your upper body power.

  • I'm 65 and a track coach. Did these in the late fifties and early sixties while in H.S. & college. Taught by a former marine. I can't believe I never incorporated these in my team workouts.   • I play soccer 3 times a week(played pro before 6x a week) . Now I allready fitness half a year, Im a lightweight (from 65 kilo , now in 1 year .. now i'm 70 kilo - 1.72)

    I have a good condition(should be better though), and have quick moves/skills, but I have now changed from number 10 to a winger(so I have the skills and I am fast but not fast enough!!!

    Now I think I got a problem because I dont now what 2 do: Train the condition(running 10 km -2days/week) - Muscle training or Speed Training?

    (I get wrist pain from doing them with my hands flat on the floor)

    I've been doing regular push ups on "Push up bars" but cant' seem to think of a way to do this on them. lol Thanks a lot.
