*WARNING: CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES OF AN ACTUAL SURGICAL PROCEDURE* I had brain surgery on May 26, 2009. A right temporal craniotomy was performed in order to correct a birth defect I have which is known as an innominate foramen meningoencephalocele. Here my surgeon is protecting my brain with gauze in order to begin his work on the bones.

  • @mittenshello well it hurt a lot when i woke up from the anesthesia.

  • What is the paper thing he puts on the brain? I see this in every brain surgery video. Is it to absorb fluid?

  • @CtrlRm yeah, its a type of gauze to protect the brain and possibly absorb fluids

  • THATS WHAT A BRAIN LOOKS LIKE well on shows thats different but yeah
