I'm guessing because all our society does is aspire toward perfection and beauty, that... imperfection and roughness and flaws have become beautiful and admirable in themselves?

I can't help but get puzzled by this..
Some people God gave them the talent of art.. They ability to draw!! Why do they create ugly characters? When they are capable of creating more beautiful ones?
It puzzles me when some well-established artists abandon the striving and pursue for high aesthetics..
Aren't we supposed to aspire for beauty?
Or am I missing something.. ?
