    The metaphor of honey is simply delicious. And by Ponty's reasoning we should say that stained-glass windows are sweet--so apt!

    However, of course, it is not true that each quality is the whole. Yellow is not the lemon. Rather, The lemon is yellow. If there is to be an absolute unity of qualities such that each penetrates and satisfies each other, it must be in a transcendent whole: the being of the thing, its "creatio".

    Or, there's more to lemon than yellow.
