@Slikhedgehog It was very similar to that of a wolf or water spider, well noticed.

@ayman2b In general yeah, netcasters are reasonably sized, but I wouldn't say this big. I could be wrong as I don't get many here.
-
@Slikhedgehog I know that feel bro, I live in Aussieland too. Huntsmans are one thing but the legs on this looked like something out of a horror film.
-
@ayman2b Technically true. It's a small spider, with a narrow body, it just has a large legspan.

@Bjawu The "huntsman" was thankfully just a dead empty shell, I wanted to see how he'd react although I never intended to hurt it. I'd say you're right, he was quite large! I've never personally seen a netcaster as big as this one before. Although it may not look it, it was about 16cm back leg to front leg span when he stretched out. In general, when their legs are bent a little as they stand, a few cm's are lost, but I put a ruler up to it when he stood up (will film it next time).

@grenade0wnyou It's an upside! Take it a step further; no bugs in your house, they've all fucked off to get away from the huntsmans.
-
@yayacomment I did, it certainly had some ripper eyes. Could see them reflecting in all the light. I've heard they have good eyesight much like jumping spiders.

Did you get a look at its face? The have amazingly huge eyes, they can see in night better then we can, which it pretty impressive since most breeds of spiders can't see very well.
its a shim !

@benzilabane It was just out of view of the camera because it was too wide for the lens to capture.
