I traveled around the UK meeting people who live off the grid for my book, "HOW TO LIVE OFF GRID,. This is Tony Marmont, who dropped out of college, made $50m from his soft drinks company by inventing a new way of automating the production line. Now he dreams up new alternative energy gadgets on his farm near Loughborough. You can find out more about this subject at the Off-Grid web site http://www.off-grid.net

  • @AhYaOk Good point. Anything is better then what we have now! :D

  • @tbscrazy12 silicon is made from sand. its extreamly abondant and renewable.

  • if i had your money i would buy land to build self reliant houses....the market for them would be awsome.STOP TALKING AND MAKE A MOVE OFF YOUR ARSE.

  • regardless of how long the uranium will last ,the fact that we use it for unnessasary reasons(,unessasary because of the natural supply of wind water and sun) then we will be sorry when at future time in our planet ,we need uranium for somthing else, and theres none left.

  • Uranium gone in 10 years? I have trouble believing this statement.

  • nice video great info very informative you make a very good point

  • is that a wig? lol.

  • @tbscrazy12 Well sure... But sillicon will not deplete in a solar energy setting in the same way that petrol or gas will...

  • I agree with you. But with solar and wind, don't we still depend on some type of natural resource, like silicon? Just wondering.

  • I'm sure the military industrial complex is pushing the idea of more nuclear power. They want the next war to be for our 'uranium' crisis instead of oil.
