http://www.ted.com The circumstances of our lives may matter less than how we see them, says Rory Sutherland. At TEDxAthens, he makes a compelling case for how reframing is the key to happiness.
TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate

This video is one of my favourites videos in You Tube. Rory's presentation is amazing. Love to watch it. I've watched it over 10 times. Every time I watch it I pick new things I hadn't pick before. I'm glad he mentioned Ludwig von Mises. I see everyone talking on Mises lately, Peter Thiel also talked about him. I'm happy about the attention the classical economists are getting. It is well deserved.

He obviously didn't understand the point of the video. It's about perspective, he was just using unemployment to illustrate his point. Have sympathy for the guy, he's unemployed and frustrated

I happened to be an unemployed son in Thailand and none of my family members seems to quite perceived it as an accomplishment. I never felt so insulted at this magnitude by any of the TED talk or anywhere else on the internet that I couldn't bear to continue to watch this any further. Please be a little more sensitive, you have no a slightest idea how it feels to be unemployed.
