Great way to show the world why Atlanta has been shut down for three days. It wasn't just the 4-6" of snow, it was the trailing 1" of freezing rain.

I Love that Atlanta shuts down for at least a day now, because things like this get to happen. Back in the 90s when there was almost no one out at night even without snow I used to skate (roller) Peachtree Street & Peachtree Road in the early am hours. There were a few groups that used to night skate back then. I gotta try the Ice thing if we are lucky enough to get another good solid covering in the next few years... Thank You for posting this =)

@Fibr3Optix salt rusts your cars. last year here in alaska, it rained in november and it was all ice. we had to wait till snow fall we just threw plenty of rocks down to get some friction

In Suwanee, ( near Atlanta GA) the roads in my neighborhood was covered with sheets and sheets of hard snow, I skated with ice skates. The big hill is very dangerous to skate on..
this shit should be filmed from the northeast or canada .. who woulda thought atlanta gets to have fun like this .. i guess being "slow" and "behind" does have its advantages, pretty fuckin sweet .. wheres the stick and puck though?

@regginald9 watching this, I was thinking specifically, "This is totally how hockey was invented in places like Canada and Russia" ... I was really wishing I had skates, a stick, and something puck-like; next time.

Not sure what city this is but have they not heard of Salt?

@Fibr3Optix this is the ATL. Salt came a couple days later. This is one of the main streets that goes through downtown Atlanta, MidTown, and Buckhead ... things seem to move slower in the south, especially when it's cold and icy. It took about 3 days for a plow to come to Peachtree St.
