It's been a turbulent ten years for rock music. In a decade full of subgenres, nongenres and crossovers the once default genre for music is now underground, as it should be. Free from the overwrought demands of mass appeal and corporations, rock music can focus like a laser beam.

It's time to pay tribute to the past decade with the 100 greatest rock songs; a totally Nickelback-free experience.

This is part 10 of a 10 part series, collecting numbers 10 through 1. The extra ten seconds are a bonus.

To ensure variety, a one-song-per-album rule is in effect.

  • dude not dragonforce... seriously, they cant eve play there own music they have to play it slow and it gets sped up. other then that everything else on this list was pretty awsome

  • @danieldiaco I know, I know. In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have put it at #2, but I still think it's awesome in its absurdity. It's like the Terry Crews Old Spice commercials. It's so ridiculously over-the-top, I can't help but love it.
