Jan Creamer, ADI President: "The shocking death of Tilly's trainer was yet another wake up call a tragedy waiting to happen. You cannot tear an animal like this from his home and turn him into an object of entertainment in a small tank without consequences.

There has been a massive outpouring of sympathy for Tilly, the only people not getting the message it seems are Sea World.

Freetilly.net will give people the opportunity to get the facts about Tilly and send a message to Sea World."

  • are you realy so stupid ???????????????????? Tili would die if you set him free you realy need a wake up call people who belive this its like just putting him to a long slow death he would never be able to feed himself or rejoin a pod. Tili is in the best place and there he shoul stay

  • i dont agree to free him as he's very old and he's been in captivity since he was 2 years old. he should be put in a sanctuary like 'Keiko' was in after fimling Free Willy. And even when Keiko was freed he died shortly after his release due to pneumonia. Tilly should now live out the rest of his life in a very big sanctuary or if they do free him. they should keep a close eye on him to make sure he's surviving ok.

  • Tillikum is the best Orca in captivity , you know why ? well he kills trainers.

  • Thank you for making this video. I am protesting miami Seaqarium tomrrow to free lolita. I am also protesting sea world soon :)

  • most of the whales in that video are not even tilly altho i do agree i hate to see them in captivaty

  • @katina100

Ever heard of a marine sanctuary? That's where captive orcas should go. For now, Tili is the worst place and there he shoul NOT stay.

  • @RaeJaeProductionz

How do you know he didn't kill out of aggression? Experts like Jean Michel Cousteau who have spent a lifetime understanding orcas and their psychology say Tilly was certainly not playful. It's safe to say that you don't know the facts or are too biased to acknowledge them.

  • @katina100 I agree. It's not like he is being tortured every day. He is in a stable home, and TIlly just isn't used to having people in his tank. He is a very playful whale. You could think of him as having ADHD. In the first and third incident with human deaths, Tilly didn't kill them out of aggression. The second incident he was blamed for, was with a mentally unstable man, who died from hypothermia. Sure, he had rake marks, but there were two other whales in the tank as well.

  • Poor Tilly :(. I feel so terrible for captive animals. These orca are free-roaming by nature. They are designed to travel hundreds of miles in a day... to reduce them to this is cruelty.

I hope they can enjoy freedom again one day.

  • we should focus on making sure no other whales are being taken from the wild for entertainment. i think that the damage is done here and tilly (as well as the other whales) should be retired to a sanctuary where they can live the rest of their lives in peace.

  • This is the worst tragedy ever. Have they not learn from the other times. The whale can not be blame for this tragic accident, and they better not touch that beautiful animal!

  • They should not be brought in for the pleasure of people watching and indeed it is a pleasure to see such beauty so close, but no one wants to live in a cage. I guess it is too late to free him because he wouldn't know how to survive in the wild but yes, I agree with Kendra121.
