This is a Mesa Boogie Mark 2C Coliseum Series 300. It is a black dot model from early 1984 and is damn loud at full power with the built in attenuator turned to 0. It has 6 6l6's and this demo has it running through an openbacked cab with 1 Celestion g12t75. This amp could have been a 2c+ but the original buyer must have turned down the plus mod version because +'s were already being produced. It sounds great but the 2c+ has some more gain and a slightly better clean.

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • Ibanez RGA 121 A - with Duncan JB and Jazz

  • What speaker were you running through here?

  • 1 12" Celestion g12t75 - It was just a cabinet that I had laying around at the time.

  • sorry you say it's 6 o clock in the morning...

but please xplain... do you live alone... i dunnow...if i play at 6 people in my building coall police...and my parents shoot me. why you can play?

  • Well my housemate wasn't home and the volume was very low. I could have had it much louder without complaints and possibly even low enough for a hard sleeper in the next room.

  • @jfkdjfd theres one on ebay right now for 4 grand

  • How much these go for?

  • best overdrive tone ever!, damn!

  • Why The Hell are you playing in the closet!!!! You got a 2000+ in the closet, plus you're a playing a Legendary amp the amp that metallica used in the closet!!! WTF

  • This thing sounds so good to me on the lead side. Im not into boogies usually but like the new mark V. Maybe I will prefer the IIC over the IIC+? I wonder if the 100 watt IIC sounds the same as the coliseum version anyone compare the two? I think the lead side and a pedal would be perfect or am I looking for a IIC+? I hate the scooped sound everyone likes though.

  • you do know that there is a Mesa Boogie Colluseum 300. It is a rack-mount amp with TWELVE 6L6 tubes.

  • again... hes a drummer...
