Who knows how many pilgrims have followed the pilgrim's trail? For a thousand years, the devote and perhaps the less than devout have been following some stretch of El Camino de Santiago through Spain. A surfeit of research exists but they always seem to concentrate on the individual's spiritual transcendance, and rather than wear this well-treaded path once again, we're less interested in the path than in the voyagers. Who are the travelers, where did they come from, why are they there? Is it everything they'd hoped it would be?
