Good luck with that house site. That sounds like a great opportunity to find some interesting artifacts.

Unfortunately Bill can't make the DIV IX. But, I will be filming what I can down there. See you down there.

Bill does a great job and I hope to see him back in action this year. The Time Searcher.

nice video sr, is that any rules or laws of metal detecting in public parks (central usa) thanks.

Oyaroidni1, yes I am sure that there are laws against metal detecting in public parks. If it is a federal park, forget it, you will be arrested and fined. If it is a state park, I don't know about the middle states of the us. But, most state and province governments prohibit metal detecting.
County and Township parks either prohibit metal detecting or you have to have a permit to do so. Always check with the proper authorities before metal detecting.

Can you put these finds into context? was there a battle? it looks like you have located a artillery position- cannister is normally fired at close range.

Yes, this was a battle site, artillery was used against retreating Union troops. I cannot name the exact battle to protect the site.

Your microphone needs a foam shield to cut down on the wind noise. Thanks for sharing.

Hey that's a great idea, Bill and I do not know that much about cameras and computers so we are doing this by trial and error. Thanks.
