  • When T. Boone Pickens chooses renewables over oil, you damn sure better listen.

  • Oil is vital still for big mining, agriculture, air travel, shipping. We need the oil to build the steel etc for natural gas pipelines, building wind turbines and solar reflectors, electric cars, more railroads etc etc.

Burning the precious stuff just to make a loud farty sound while going to the pub or supermarket or commuting solo to work in a car with hundreds of horse power - all just stupid in a peak oil world.

  • the ruling class.....making decisions for us......

  • Actually the context wasn't interrupted, we had to cut for time in the show. The context is still there just shortened.

  • Tough to know what he was saying, as the context was interrupted through cuts and splices in video at 4:41 and 4:50.

  • if you just produce more energy than all the coal burning fuel plants then charge way less then they do everyone will switch because its cheaper and more available so then your coal companies will quit youll lose a few million jobs but hey its better than global warming rightand think if you stacked them in a wider tower with 5 on it you could generate crazy energy but you know thats just what i think seems smart right?

  • he is a lier!

  • ruckrover8, I see where you're coming from, but I'd do some research first - Nissan, for example, has some pretty fuel efficient six cylinder models. V6 diesel motors are very efficient. I have a four cylinder Honda S2000 - and it gets worse milage on the highway than the 8 cylinder corvette. The problem isnt big motors, but the use of oil itself. Renewable is the way.
