Strange to look at James Baskett (Uncle Remus) and know that he's only 42 years of age in this movie. He died of heart disease in 1948, two years later.

Who exactly is the main protagonist? Is that supposed to be Uncle Remus, Brer Rabbit or Johnny? And about the main antagonist, is that supposed to be Brer Fox, Brer Bear, or Ginny's brothers?

@KBAFourthtime I would say all three are the main protagonist and all three are the main atangonist and probably Sally. The reason why because later in the movie she told Uncle Remus that's he's forbidden to be with Johnny. My grandma thinks she's a bitch just because he told stories to him.

@johnnynl Well, I wouldn't think Sally is deliberately wicked, as she just thinks his stories are a bad influence. Is that right?

@KBAFourthtime Yeah I guess so. but still every time I watch Song Of The South, my grandma would her wicked not just because he's not allowed to tell him stories, Johnny's not allowed to keep Teenchy either.
