This is the second step in allergy testing. Once the information is read from this test, allergy shots or allergy drops (immunotherapy) can be formulated and given. This is performed by the allergy department at Northwest ENT and Allergy Associates with offices in Marietta, Woodstock, and Canton, Georgia.

  • For testing, the most sensative and specific manner to identify allergies is to perform MQT as you see above. Once allergies are identified, you can be treated with either SCIT (subcutaneous immunotherapy)(shots) or SLIT(sublingual immunotherapy)(drops under the tongue). Both are very efficacious, but SCIT is done weekly, and SLIT must be done daily.

  • me too I'm scared of needles....I hope they have an alternative medication for allergy without using injection..it's kinda scary..
