This is a piece from Steve Walsh's first solo album, Schemer Dreamer (1980). I feel this is his most sensitive work ever. The violins and violas played by Allen Sloan are incredible.

Just How It Feels:
From out of the corner of Grandfather's eye
There sparkles a knowledge of living
For years he has learned to get by with what is
'Cause he lives in a world full of giving
Time and again he has told me about when
We danced just to celebrate our freedom
I surely think he knows Just How It Feels.
From out of the kitchen my Grandmother smiles
She's baked what she knows I will savor
She recalls an old story and we laugh very hard
At all of the mischief I gave her
And as she grows old she has memories to hold
And love soothes the pain in her body
I surely think she knows Just How It Feels.
And when I lay down many miles from my home
Well I see them, I hear them they're around me
"Good Morning" they say, as they greet the new day
Always busy and knowing no boundary
Grandfather is clear, his words ring in my ear
"Life is just what you will make it"
I surely think they know Just How It Feels.
