@moniquemyers47 Without a doubt 4 of the best musicians ever. I've seen RTF twice, Stanley solo twice (3 counting New Barbarians) and Al's solo tour. All before 1980. To me that was their pinnacle. After that everything started sounding commercial.
I saw Aerosmith back in the 70's too. They sucked. They were all F'ed up and didin't give a shit. Thank God they got it together. I saw them about 4 years ago and it was one of the best concerts I've seen. Saw Zappa in '78. Greatness!
Return To Forever opened for Zappa one tour, I think it was 1976....probably the greatest show ever as far as musicianship's concerned.
I read that Aerosmith opened for them somewhere in the midwest and it was a disaster.
I remember hearing this for the first time in 1977 and being blown away. Music like this has such a slim chance of being produced now a days and we are considerably poorer for that.
This is smoking hot.. And checkout Al di Meola. I think this was the first album he was ever on and he sounds like hes been there for years. He was only 19.
