pantibaboy, perhaps your mother speaks of an effect Marilyn Monroe cast upon all leading and supporting actors... That, she was acting in a higher plane, her own film, yet carried the film. Callas was the greatest singing actress of the century. Also she used to be so immersed in her character that she'd fall in love with her leading men, or directors, for a spell.

actually no one knows better than anyone else Callas without a doubt had a voice for the ages but it didnt lend itself to sharing, my mam who saw Callas when she started said she will be the number one but she wont share that i love her but still i wonder if she had been more sharing and enjoying of her partners how wonderfull she would have been answer me who remembers the male singers
