This is the very new Walkera CB180Q FP helicopter with stabiliser (bell hiller), released mid August 2009.

Around 46cm long. Costs around $145 USD. Very stable (probably as stable as a coax). However, poor movement authority, especially forward. Does not handle wind well (see video). Flight time is 13min with the 1000mAh lipo provided. Tested a 650mAh lipo and achieved 8 minutes of flight.

  • Well i have a co-axle heli and looking to step it up with a fixed pitched do you think this is a good one to start on?

  • @CorruptH3ro

Since it has some auto stability features, it's a good move from a coax, although, if you can afford it, I would strongly recommend a Hirobo SRB Quark. It just the best FP helicopter available

  • were did you mount the keychain cam you use?

  • @bassax7045 On some transparent work safety glasses. However, you can now buy on ebay some sunglasses with integrated camera, with a high video quality. Search for "sunglasses spy". Get a model with 720*480 AVI 30FPS

  • Amigo,memensine amanter a estabilidade do meu cb 180q.......

  • Hey Sebolive, I wonder if you had a look at the flybarless version the Walkera V200DQ01. I would love to see you flying this one as I try to learn from people flying Helis, comparing it to me. I like to blame Helis most, but that is not always the answer :-)) Hope to see soon some more Videos. I am now living in Canada, missing England ;-)

  • Great Video, harmonic flight and controls. Bought one CB180Q and had only 3 hrs of 3 channel micro Helicopter experience. Now I can hover the full battery charge, land almost on a spot but now learning forward and side ways flight.

Hope to be as good as you are one day :-))

Got to learn slowly but steady :-))

Would love to see more of the CB180Q videos and even with a 1200 mah battery I only get a bit more than 9 minutes out.

Having said this, it flies nicer with the original 1000 mah almos

  • just bought one and I cant wait for it to come in, is there anything wrong with the settup on the tail rotor? from what ive seen it is a motor mounted in the back of the fuselage, but there is a gear at the end of the shaft, is it reliable and will it last

  • why not a speedrun forward?

  • did you have to make any adjustments to the tail engine when you got it. When I got mine, it immediatly shook the tail rotor so bad one of the rotor blades broke off.

  • @sebolive Thanks got have the sport model..she's all setup now..the key is flying on a calm day..and if it is a little windy a lot of space is a good idea also...its a nice copter to learn with
