Piggycide? Farmers Forced to Mass Slaughter their Healthy Pigs

In the heart of Western Michigan are picturesque rural towns that are now a backdrop to a raging battle between farmers and the government. The Department of Natural Resources in Michigan has deemed a certain type of pigs an invasive species. Farmers have been ordered to slaughter every last one of their pigs and piglets and farmers that don't comply are now faced with jail time and a felony. But some farmers are putting up a fight. RT Correspondent Liz Wahl and Photojournalist Jon Conway traveled to Michigan to investigate what's really behind the swine carnage.

According to the laws that they are citing, yes they are feral. Sorry, the laws is clear on what is and what is not feral by DNR's rules. If you dont like the rules vote to change them.

You might want to look up the definition of feral. Feral pigs are wild unrestrained pigs that range free and do do harm. Farmed pigs do not even meet the DNR's own definition of feral.

After reading the law, it is clear they where violation of it. They where keeping feral pigs on the property. They, of course, can get domesticated pigs and raise them free range, there is zero laws against that, but they are not allowed to raise the specific pigs in the videos. If they want to change the laws, then just vote. But has for their problem, they need to move away from feral pigs and move to domesticated pigs.
