Take a tour of Potala Palace, Tibet - part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.

Hi, I am Naomi and I am very excited to show you the world's greatest attractions.

Towering above Tibet's Lhasa Valley, Potala Palace rises to be the greatest monument in Tibet.

Constructed in the 7th century, Potala Palace rests on the red mountain at an altitude of nearly 12,000 feet.

The intricate architecture reflects its ancient culture and past use as a holy temple.

The Red Palace which sits at the center represents power and honor.

The white part of the structure was colored that way to symbolize peace.

It once served as the residence for the Dalai Lama.

Potala Palace, with all its history and legends, remains exceptionally well preserved.

A stunning sight at any time of year, the Potala Palace is a wonder of the world.

Thank you for watching our travel video series. See you next time.
