Startup of my latest find, a magnetic preheat ballast fluorescent fixture with two 2D fluorescent lamps. It cost me less than 3 US $ at a yard sale. The lamps it came with were warm whites from GE, but I am going to get some cool whites instead.
The bottom lamp is a 2-pin 16 W and the top one is a 4-pin 28 W that uses the external starter. Since both wattages are available as both 2 and 4-pin, I don't understand this inconsistency.
It has a cover, but I removed it for the video. I am thinking not using it, since it is not glary without it anyway.
Looks like you have a similar model that I have of that light...without that removable little starter!
How do you fix those lights after the bulb burnt out and it wont light up anymore?
Usually I just change the little starter and its fixed, but because this type has no starter...how can I fix this?

@brockpierce1984 Not all 2D lamps need starters. (2D lamp with built in starters have 2 connector pins, those that use an external starter have 4.)
From your picture it seems to me that your one has an electronic ballast (the white box, it is supposed to provide correct current and voltage for the lamp). Electronic ones (as apposed to older electromagnetic) are not very reliable. If you have changed the bulb and it still won't work, it may be because the ballast is broken. The easiest solution

@brockpierce1984 [continued] would be to replace the entire fitting, since the correct ballast may be difficult to get and/or expensive compared to the cost of a new fitting. The ballast is necessary, do not just bypass it. Since mains voltages (which are dangerous) are involved, to not try to replace it if you don't know how to wire it.

AWESOME!! I would LOVE to have a fixture like that! Is there a manufacturer tag/model anywhere on it?

Yes, it was made by some company called "ateljé Lyktan". It should be pretty simple to convert another fixture if you can find sockets and ballasts.
