As for the song, I've heard it was written in Cardiff and has a lot to do with alcoholism. Not that it matters. Most of Corey's lyrics can be interpreted in many different ways. Cardiff has a whole damn lot of personal meaning for me, that has nothing to do with alcoholism at all.

This is amazing! The Crow is one of my favorite movies and Cardiff fits perfectly. By the way, this is only the second video to be added to my favorites.

Dude what a stupid fucking question to ask!!! It's about losing yourself and just not being able to even survive in your own skin cuz life is just too fucked up!!!! Parallel that with the clips from the Crow: apparently....he lost everything cuz he lost his girl and he wanted revenge...duh!!! To him, life wasn't worth living when he lost her. And thats what Corey was saying...i dont know why he named it that but apparently it was about the same concept, life thats not worth living.

cardiff was the demo title of the song and later became the song's title to also dedicate this song to the place itself...
