@sinhsacnguyen No, each product is not assigned a unique serial number. All products have a UPC - universal product code. The UPC is the same on all products - obviously, all of one kind of product. However, more expensive products (that you cant lift), like laptops have a serial number that is sometimes recorded when its sold.
No, the barcodes for the same items are all identical. A retailer can never known which exact item on a shelf has or hasn't be purchased. Look at the barcodes yourself the next time you're in the store.
this will NEVER work, don't understand why it worked in the video but when you return an item, they will scan your receipt and the barcode if the item so check whether they match. C'mon retailers are not that stupid, and if this scam really worked probably every one would do it and retailers would go bankrupt.
the coolest thing about this one is youre actually doing nothing illegal. lying is not illegal, in the US anyway. all they really did was move some boxes around, and the refund is a careless management error. this actually does work. ive done it in wal mart with games over the summer
