Barbie's Dream Behind the Pearly Curtain 　芭比娃娃的一帘幽夢
The world's first Barbie store has opened in Shanghai, China in March, with six floors filled entirely with Barbie dolls and products , activities designed just for girls. Also includes a luxury spa and Barbie Cafe in addition to its vast retail space. It is located on Shanghai's equivalent of Fifth Avenue, Huaihai Rd. It is spread across six floors, linked by a sweeping staircase bedecked with 875 dolls.
Chinese consumers barely know anything about Barbie except that Barbie is a pretty doll This has given the company an opportunity to rewrite the doll's story. A lot of the Chinese mothers, they didn't have Barbie in their childhoods, so Barbie gives them something they can share with their daughter, China isn't yet a rich country, but those who do have money to spend are eager for new experiences.


芭比娃娃在世界各地的玩具柜台上展露头角已达半个世纪，芭比的美貌和新潮的服饰，深深打动女孩子们的心扉。今年3月，世界上第一间芭比娃娃旗舰店在上海开业了。
上海芭比娃娃旗舰店坐落在淮海路，出售芭比娃娃、芭比服饰、芭比珠宝、芭比玩具、芭比糖果，此外还有芭比餐厅、芭比美容水疗中心。这间店贯穿了六层楼，用875个芭比娃娃­装饰着的旋转楼梯连接，那些芭比娃娃每个都穿着引人注目的粉色衣服。很多中国的妈妈的童年并没有芭比相伴，而芭比能让她们和女儿一起分享。中国虽然还不是一个富裕的国家，­但那些有钱的人渴望着有新的消费体验，芭比旗舰店迎合了这一部分人的心理。
