No, what gatemouthbrown said... it's for a strap. I think it sucks, though. I tried it out for a while and it gets in the way

First off, grasshopper, it's a Fleetwood Mac song. The DC covered it.
And actually most people do like the Chicks. Certain people in a certain musical genre don't like them for speaking out and not agreeing with their perceived point of view. But that's got nothing to do with their music. They are excellent singers, songwriters and musicians.

thats a quick strap...stays on the headstock for putting a strap on an acoustic quickly...

It's a capo. It's basically a clamp to be placed on a certain fret. Basically it's like moving the nut up the fretboard when used.

one of the first things i learned when i was 12. Well worth learning even if you are an beginnner. helps out a lot even if you dont Travis pick as a main part of your style.

Thanks Tim!
How old is too old to learn to play the guitar? Just wondering.....cause I'm 15 going on 16 and I just started a while ago. Some pple who are way younger seem to know a lot more. Should I just give up?

i love next level guitar ... but i must say that almost all the instructors that appeared here are not good guitar players.....i dare them to post a video with their skills :)

Except for myself (Tim)
all are top notch players
They lay out lessons to optimize learning
not showcase their skills
big difference
