Originally known as Kakuto Karate Daidojuku or Combat Karate Daidojuku, the name of the style was inevitably changed to recognize its unique and unorthodox techniques as a mixed martial art. In 2001 at an official press conference held for Daidojuku, founder Azuma Takashi and president of Daidojuku, N.P.O., renamed the mixed martial art Budo to Kudo. This renaming allowed Kudo the opportunity of becoming an official Japanese Cultural Budo sport under the same category as Judo, Aikido and Kendo. Kudo and Daidojuku are world wide copyrights and all of its instructors and branch chiefs are certified under the Kudo International Federation, also known as K.I.F.

  • I am not sure about there being a lack of kata in Kudo. Kata serves its purpose even if you will never use it in a fight.

  • @kyokushindabomb kudo has not any kata

  • @DrSanchez666 yes doctor kudo is serious badass

  • well jogging is fighting because it hurts and its tough. bench press is fighting because it makes u strong and its fun. skipping is part of fighting because it completely sucks.........................

  • @GuamKomudo best answer to that old question...

  • kudo is so badass.

  • kata is needed so u can fight an opponent when theres no opponent.

  • Whats the point of skipping? you don't fight like that. Whats the point of bench press? you don't fight like that. Whats the point of jogging? you don't fight like that..... etc etc etc... AHH the stoopid, it hurts!

  • I love this style, I fought in 2001 World Championships and have fought MMA. ww. danthewolfman com or ww. MMA4SelfDefense com
