Dead and Buried shuffled onto the scene in 1981. After the over-whelming success of Alien, writers Dan O' Bannon and Ronald Schuett decided the next logical step was to create a trippy zombie movie. The film itself, while not being revolutionary, does have some good shock scenes, and with a pre-Nightmare on Elm Street Robert Englund and the classic Jack Albertson on board, this is a pretty solid film.
Just saw this on Netflix and LOVED it! Really solid, little film.
