This PROMOTES violence!

If the gender roles were reversed, this would in fact be considered "SEVERE domestic violence/abuse". The producers and sponsors making this commercial would be so deemed as "women haters", and promoting "patriarchal oppression". Thus would be the stirred mainstream media controversy on EVERY news front. CEOs would be apologizing suffering political suicide.

This only shows that the VAWA IS NOT diminishing VIOLENCE in our culture as they claim.

It shows this video is over a year old, I've never seen this commercial on TV in the US. If it was on TV for any length of time, it isn't being played now. At least not to my knowledge. Oh, and trust me Steveman, had 'we' caught wind of this when it first came out? The ones responsible would be FLOODED with protest - probably within the tens of thousands (if not more) and in a very short period of time. now that you mention that, I'm a little surprised that groups representing men weren't shouting out about this commerical. they should have complained to the products and sponsors of it, like women would if the gender roles were reversed. If men and women are supposed to have equal rights and it's perfectly OK to show a woman slapping a man on television, then it should be perfectly OK if the gender roles were reversed. That's logic.
