    No, that's not what the song is about. Sarah has mention it plenty of times in interviews and at her concerts that the song is about stalking and that she was inspired to write the song based on the creepy letters she received from her stalker, who eventually tries to sue her over the writing credits, but shortly committed suicide before the trial even started.

    Anyone that came here just for the fascination that it should be the theme of Fifty Shades of Grey are retarded. This sing is about stalking NOT BDSM. Sarah wrote the song based on a bad experience NOT a sexual experience. Pay attention to the lyrics, people and not the mood.
