I found out about bvh files after joining secondlife a few weeks ago and downloading their resouces inc bvh files, hardly gone there since, too broadband wasteful, but after googling bvh got some of the cmu ones off sharecg for use in daz, spoilt for choice now! Just bought aniMate today, started making my own ani blocks, cool so much easier than puppeteering poses!

That's good. But what is with the complex BVHs like climbing etc.? It workes too? Let's create a team from 6 or 7 people to workout all BVHs from Carnegie!

there's 2500 of them ! :) but keep an eye on the web page at cgspeed, in fact you mentioned poser, and on the cgspeed site, he made a conversion for Poser, i think instead of BVHs it's poser-scripts .

Can you tell me the exact place? It would be great to have directly the pz2-Format. There on posermocapcom some very clean animations for free. They are short but the best quality for Poser i've ever seen!

they are for poser but as scripts, not pz2 format
i added the link to the CGspeed site in the video description box
in the "motion capture" section of the site is a section named "poser friendly version"

Hi. Is the second step needed or nonrelevant because of this third step?
SirJohnsStatement 2 years ago
yes step 2 is still useful, in my tests it reduced the skating , the character's feet were more stable
