@scottwins2 your church is really good at keeping records, so all one has to do to find out the truth about your religion is look at it's own documents.

@r8rfanizme Hard to believe your story, thats not the church I know. I guess if you said it, it must be true.

@anniechase3 * I am sorry so many of you have such bad feelings about the LDS church. * Our feelings have nothing to do with Salvation since over the stretch of years, decades, they give way and die as all human things do. Our feelings concerning the LDS church, bad, good or indifferent are meaningless, it's the facts that are important. If you wish to continue to "feel good", I suggest you avoid videos like these.

I am sorry so many of you have such bad feelings about the LDS church. I have grown up Mormon and I am thankful to have been taught to seek truth for myself. If you only believe in what the leaders of the church say you are missing out on gaining a relationship with God. He will tell you if what you are hearing is true. Also I am glad I grew up in a church who taught me to love everyone, give service, and that there is a point to this life.

@80sgirlzrock We were told never to go into a Christian book store or ever read anything about the church that didn't come from the church. I married into the LDS Church when I was 21. So many things just didn't seem right, but I kept my mouth shut to keep peace with her family. After doing some research into LDS history and such, we left about 12 years later . Her family disowned us for a few years, but eventually they all left too.
@80sgirlzrock And since I am black, I was considered "more susceptible to give into temptation", as my seminary teacher put to me. You know, that fence-sitting thing.
I remember in 1981, they hit my Pops up, asked when he was going to receive the Priesthood. He said, "Ohh, now I am good enough for you." He never did.
"Why else would anybody stay in a church so full of lies & deceit?" It's the "Country Club" thing, elitism at its finest, and Pops wouldn't chum up.

I was raised in a Mormon household and I was taught that if you were questioning or having doubts that is was Satan tempting you & there is nothing Satan wants more than to take away your faith. WOW! That's one way to scare some poor lil 8 yr olds into being baptized (like they get a choice, hee hee). That crap will stay with ya for along time........which I guess explains so many adult Mormons are drinking the kool-ade. Why else would anybody stay in a church so full of lies & deceit?
