Just a simple intro tutorial on how to 1. Get a Project Magenta FSUIPC Offset / Value and 2. How to Enter that into FSUIPC inside FSX to make it work on a button or switch. Don't get confused when you put in a value in the parameter box. Once you press OK, FSUIPC will convert it to its hexadecimal value automatically. For example, if you put in 72 in the FSUICP parameter box, when you look at it again, it'll be x0048. That's correct! Want to get a hex value easily? Go to Google and type in "Z in hex", but replace Z with your value! (Thanks to my brother for that bit of information!) Anyhow, I have no idea what I'm doing with this stuff. But this system worked for me and so I'm just passing on the knowledge! Have fun!

  • do you neet to buy the key?

  • @kristianfogdal If you want to do all the good stuff with FSUIPC then yes definitely purchase a key.

  • thanx al luk it up! am planing to start building my own 737 sim from scratch, am planing to do that with minimum cost as possible!

  • Yeah when I first started out this is what my MIP looked like but I stink at making this stuff so ended up buying the FDS hardware. You can see more picts, etc on the sim website.

  • that still sounds complicated man!

  • So you program your switch to say offset 028C parameter 1. When you flip it, your landing lights come on.

In FSUIPC there is also an area for an offset/parameter to be done when the switch is turned off. So you would set that, to 028C and parameter 0 (if thats what it is for turning the lights off)

    And that's it :)
