@xfxchini Dry is when the jet engine is running normally, i.e just from fuel being injected into the compression chamber. Wet is when the fuel is being dumped into the gas exhaust, for an significant increase in thrust. i.e afterburner/reheat.

When they build and test something this expensive, how many pieces will they be making? Is it simply, a couple of engines, which go thro all tests in a serial fashion or do they have a dozen built and carry out tests separately to quicken the process?.............Just wondering
-
@xfxchini in simple terms -dry is when afterburn is not used ,and wet is when addional fuel is pumped along exaust fumes to generat more power but this leeds to wastage of fuel be burnt outside the engine [bad milage ]
