The minerals on public land belong to us 'we the people' not the federal gov. BLM is active in restricting access and use of our lands. BLM has there own law enforcement called ''rangers" I have been prospecting and several times I have been hassled by a ranger and treated as though I was a criminal for using my right as a citizen of the USA to prospect on public lands. The Rangers act as though it were their personal property.

BLM is a Gestapo agency.
