I agree with Mexico, before teaching a kid to fight you should teach him the valies of self-defense first and not to use these abilities to bully other kids around.

The only problem with teaching kids to fight is that it should be done at a gym under a proper teacher. If done at home the kids have a much larger tendancy to turn into bullies at school or in later years. One of the fundamentals taught to kids in gyms is that fighting at school isn't good.
