Here is the HobbyKing De Havilland Mosquito made by HC Hobby. This is a seriously nice model, easy to build, looks great, flies great and the only down side I can give it is that the stock props need to be upgraded, apart from that she's a winner :)

For any more info on the model, or mods that I did etc please feel free to ckeckout my blog on RCgroups http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=282085 or post a comment or shoot me an email and I'll try answer you question as best I can.

Thanks for watching and thanks again for your support.

  • Love your sign-off! We should make some vids together! What's halfway between Australia and New York? Probably a blank blue spot on the Pacific-

  • @Killerplanes LOL I'll bring my scuba gear!

  • I am interested in the thicker landing gear. A fellow flier says they are too weak and bend and our runway, 1 inch cut grass. What's involved in taking the existing landing gear struts apart? Could you please present the details, screws or nuts and bolts involved. Can the wheels be replaced with larger. That's the easiest way to take stress off weak landing gear. This trick makes the parkzone foams much better on the landings and take offs. Thanks.

  • @ssdan2011 Stock struts are a little weak, probably can't go much bigger on the wheels otherwise gear doors won't close properly (maybe one size bigger max). Struts come apart very easily (just screws). Hobbyking have mechanical drop in replacements which use thicker wire(3 or 3.5mm from memory), follow the link in the description to the RCG thread & ask which ones they are exactly, plenty of guys on there have them. If not you can just bend up your own using thicker wire which is what I did.

  • @PARTYjohn69 Update...All good, it was found and sent back to them then back out to me.

  • @Killerplanes That's awesome news about the FW190 :)

  • @jmpdgs It aint just rumor mills! They closed up, and it's a shame, but Mr Liang (the designer) has his own place now, building the 1875mm B-17, on which he did another great job. Somebody else bought the molds for HC's FABULOUS and muscular FW-190, and will be producing it soon- we'll have that one! (You can see it on the killerplanes website) We have parts for the Mossie if you need them

  • Nice review and I like your mods. Thanks a lot.

  • @sbolandatutube Goodluck with the maiden.....and I wouldn't add any tail weight if I were you, atleast not on the first flight ;) all the best!

  • @PARTYjohn69 It has been found and returned to HK. Hk sent it back out and I finally have my hands on it...ready for maiden tomorrow. MAS 9x7 3 blades nose weight removed and 4s 2650.. still nose heavy will need to put some weight in the tail I think.
